Echo Quilting

Echo quilting is why Hawaiian Quilting stands apart from all other types of quilting. Like ripples on a pond the quilting lines flows from its center outward to the edges of the quilt.
When quilting the outside edge of your quilt just follow your design to the outside edge. Start from the ditch stich and work your way out to the outer edge of the design.Just follow the pattern it's as simple as that. In the negative space of your quilt when using the echo quilting rule....stitch into the center of your design starting from the outer edge of the pattern. When you quilt has a lei...or border for every stich line that you come out from the center you also come in from the lei. Again...follow the design on your lei to the outside edges.
